Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Build best-in-class Business Intelligence (BI) solutions by working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and key stakeholders to deliver against the product roadmap.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI to support business decision-making.
• Ensure successful delivery of agreed product functionality while adhering to client standards, governance, and development methodologies.
• Create and maintain required project documentation, including technical design specifications, test strategies, peer reviews, release documentation, change management, and operational readiness artefacts.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data specifications, and translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, datasets, ETL processes, and reporting solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Support deployment activities, production releases, and steady-state operational support.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to BI reporting, data governance, and analytics capabilities.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions in iterative release cycles.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 7+ years of experience in Power BI development, Business Intelligence, data analytics, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating advanced calculations, measures, and reporting solutions.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation techniques.
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of other Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Microsoft Power BI or related certifications are considered an asset.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
