JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of the Ontario Reign's digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, content creation, and digital fan engagement. This role coordinates day-to-day digital marketing activities, assists in developing and implementing content strategies, and manages the team's social media and email platforms to help grow the Ontario Reign's digital audience, increase fan engagement, support ticket sales initiatives, and strengthen brand awareness.

Working closely with the Manager, Marketing, the Senior Marketing Coordinator creates and publishes engaging multimedia content, executes paid and organic social campaigns, manages email marketing efforts, monitors campaign performance, and collaborates with internal departments to support integrated marketing initiatives. This position assists with driving audience engagement, increasing website traffic, and supporting revenue-generating efforts through effective digital marketing execution and content production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Produce, edit and publish engaging short-form video and digital content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and other emerging platforms using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or comparable editing software.


• Designs and implements content strategy to align with department’s business goals. Produces and edits compelling photography and videography in accordance with strategy.


• Create reports on KPIs and ROI for social media initiatives. Collects and analyzes data and tracks performance of various initiatives. Develop and implement changes to improve business results.


• Curates and follows a monthly social media, paid media & email content calendar.


• Research current trends and audience preferences to stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies.


• Support the Manager of Marketing with executing email marketing, campaigns, including building campaigns, scheduling and reporting"


• Responsible for working events which include escorting media, editing photos / websites and social media posts during award shows.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The Sr. Marketing Coordinator must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

• Highly Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook


• Demonstrated proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign)


• Understanding and experience managing social media platforms.


• Strong copywriting skills for social media and email marketing. 


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, outside agencies, organizations, and vendors with a strong customer service orientation.


• Ability to analyze campaign performance using social analytics and recommend improvements.


• Ability to liaise effectively with partners and internal team members.


• Ability to collaborate with team members to launch designs and pitch creative ideas that enhance projects.


• Knowledge and understanding of content creation techniques, including writing, editing, and visual content development.


• Extremely detail oriented and adherent to strict file structure guidelines.


• Highly organized and able to plan content calendar


• Effectively manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven & fast-paced environment.


• Availability to work outside “normal” business hours, evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Marketing or a related field

Experience:

• 2-4 years related work experience in a Marketing or Digital Marketing role 


• Experience in photography preferred


• Proven experience producing designs for various types of media (Website, Social Media, & Print).


• Events/Music industry experience preferred.


• Demonstrated professional experience editing short-form video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro or similar software. 


• Experience creating content specifically for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. 


• Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, sports team or entertainment organization. 


• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp or similar CRM systems. 

Payscale: $23.27-$26.44/hr

Bonus:  This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
