Craft Beer Sales Representative

Job Responsibility:

Meta brewery is located in Calgary, Alberta. We are looking to add a key high-performance member to a very experienced and dedicated sales team in Calgary. Our beers received 2 Golds (Wheat ale and Stout) in Canadian Brewing Awards and 1 Gold (double IPA) in Alberta Beer Awards in 2023. We continue to deliver quality fresh beer and aspire to become a regular choice for consumers who enjoy great beer and beverages at good times. Meta and the successful candidate will create a professional, industrious and collaborative atmosphere for its team members and grow sales of our craft beers.

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

· Has the ability to create sales plans and analyze sales data for in depth discussion with senior leadership

· Is extremely organized, detail oriented and has strong follow through in a competitive environment

· Possesses excellent communication skills, is honest and hard working

BJCP and/or Cicerone certification is an asset

Primary Responsibilities:

· Managing organizational craft beer sales in Calgary and Southern Alberta for existing customers and developing new partnerships

· Tracking sales goals and reporting results to senior management

· Coordinating with the marketing team on lead generation

· Ensure clear communication of Meta's core values, goals and brand message to consumers, accounts and wholesale partners while strengthening relationships

· Work directly with customers to ensure product delivery, rotation, and inventories

· Utilize provided software and tools to plan and manage time and set weekly work plans

· Enthusiastically represent Meta Brewery at festivals and organize promotions, tastings and events

· Assist with launching new Meta brands and managing POS display materials for accounts

· Produce reports and present data to the Meta's senior management team on weekly goals and results

Sales Skills:

· Highly organized with proficiency in sales software (EZFocus), Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite software

· Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting of 55 pounds or more and extended amounts of physical activity with prolonged standing and talking

· Valid drivers' license, clear motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation

· Education and/or Experience: A Certificate and/or Diploma from a Business School, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an influential sales role within the beer and beverage industry

· Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special work-related events such as festivals, sports events and any special promotional events

· Ability to travel

· Brings extensive contacts in the retail beverage industry for a quick start up program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
