Position Summary:

Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical or Structural co-op student in our Hydropower & Dams Group for a position starting in January 2027. Reporting to the Saskatchewan Hydropower & Dams Regional Manager, you will support local and national projects working from our Saskatoon Office.

Responsibilities:

• Providing engineering support for Hydropower & Dams projects in pre-feasibility through to detailed engineering, dam safety and operational support
• For geotechnical:
• Assist in developing and completing analyses (slope stability, seepage) and quantity estimates
• Supporting various field assignments including geotechnical investigations, data processing, and report writing
• For structural:
• Assist in completing structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and structural steel
• Supporting the production of reports, technical drawings, and specifications
• Supporting senior staff in business development and marketing to existing and new Hatch clients in the hydropower sector, preparation of expressions of interest and proposals

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a degree in Geotechnical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Full Class 5 driver license

Compensation:

Range: $26.00 - $33.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
