Backend Engineering Lead at RBC Toronto

Become a Backend Engineering Lead at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, where your expertise in Java and microservices will improve our high-performance backend systems. - Design and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs for scalable usage
- Implement microservices with complex distributed system patterns
- Lead a team, conducting code reviews and setting best practices
- Collaborate across teams to define technical solutions for business needs
- Use Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture implementations
- 8+ years of software development experience in related fields
- Proficiency in Spring and Java technologies
- Familiarity with non-relational databases and data modeling
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Prior experience in financial services is an asset
