SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY

The Professional Practice Nurse Advisor is a health care professional who works closely with the Regional Manager of Professional Practice to contribute to excellence in professional practice by promoting and developing best practices in accordance with legislation, standards and policies, all based on evidence.

REQUIREMENTS

• Registered with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB);
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
• At least five years of relevant clinical experience within the last eight years;
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate;
• Proven skills in leadership and acting as a change agent;
• Ability to keep calm in sometimes tense situations;
• Strong ability to manage time, as well as assigned workload;
• Good judgment and ability to resolve problems and conflicts;
• Sense of responsibility;
• Willingness to take on any other related tasks;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
