Medical Sonography Technologist-2 (SN02) / Diagnostic Imaging Technologist 2 (DI02)

JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent performs various technical and clinical duties related to the work of a medical imaging technologist as well as various general diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures. Will also perform all other related tasks based on the department's needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Registered with the New Brunswick Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (NBAMRT);
• Certified member in good standing with Sonography Canada;
• Certification in generalist and vascular spécialities;
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate;
• Good judgement and communication;
• Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.

NOTE:

• The successful candidate may be required to work at the St-Joseph Community Health Centre (Dalhousie).
