Director of Corporate Strategy Toronto
Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)
Elevate your career at IESO as the Director of Corporate Strategy in Toronto. This role combines strategic planning with cross-functional leadership to shape Ontario’s energy future. The IESO is seeking a Director to lead corporate strategy and oversee strategic initiatives. In this senior role, you will collaborate closely with executive leadership, influence policy, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals. Your expertise in strategy, stakeholder engagement, and performance measurement will drive impactful decisions for the organization and the province’s energy sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and socialize the Corporate Strategy alongside senior leaders
- Lead the Strategy Implementation Plan and prioritize initiatives
- Monitor enterprise performance against strategic objectives
- Align corporate strategy with enterprise functions and planning
- Oversee CEO-sponsored strategic initiatives and research
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 12-15+ years in strategy or policy, ideally in energy sector
- Strong knowledge of electricity sector and regulatory environments
- Proven relationship-building with senior stakeholders
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
