Drywall Finisher and Plasterer Tim Drywall Location Waterloo, ON Salary 36.00 hourly / 40 hours per week Full time Early morning, Morning, Day Starts as soon as possible Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work must be completed at the physical Location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment At heights Dusty Hot Noisy Outdoors Work setting Commercial Institutional Various Locations Responsibilities: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster Clean and prepare surfaces Cure freshly plastered surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Physically demanding Repetitive Standing for extended periods Tight deadlines Work under pressure Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment Hard hat Safety glasses/goggles Steel-toed safety boots Personal suitability Dependability Judgement Reliability Team player Until: 2026-03-23
