Position Title: Social Media Coordinator  
Reports To: Communications Director  
Employment Status: Part-Time (20 hours per week) 

Position Summary  

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing the church’s online presence across social media platforms. This role ensures consistent, timely, and engaging communication that reflects the church’s mission, voice, and brand standards.  

The Social Media Coordinator collaborates closely with the Communications Director, Graphic Designer, and Content Creator to publish coordinated content that supports ministry initiatives, strengthens community engagement, and grows public awareness of the church.

Key Responsibilities  

• Develop and implement annual social media strategy and a monthly social media content calendar aligned with ministry priorities. 


• Create, schedule, and publish content across designated platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify). 


• Write captions and copy consistent with the church’s tone and messaging guidelines. 


• Monitor engagement and respond to comments and direct messages appropriately. 


• Track analytics and provide regular performance reports with recommendations. 


• Suppo rt promotion of church events, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives.
  

Skills & Experience

• You have a degree, diploma, or certificate in Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Media, Communications, or related field ( or equivalent experience).


• You have 3 or more years of proven experience managing social media accounts for organizations or brands.


• You have proficiency in in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Linked In, etc.) 


• You have familiarity with scheduling tools and social media analytics platforms (e.g., Later, Meta, etc.).
  


• You have proficiency in social media content making tools (e.g., Adobe Express, Canva, etc.) 


• You have digital literacy and awareness of digital platform trends
  


• Graphic design experience is considered an asset. 


• Cell phone content making is considered an asset.
