Personal Lines Account Manager
As a Personal Lines Account Manager, you are a trusted advisor, who owns and supports client relationships and understands their home and Auto needs to provide effective insurance solutions.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry
- Current RIBO License in good standing
- Proven track record of maintaining and retaining clients
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC Broker Management System is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and bringing a positive and energetic attitude
- Proficiency in cross-selling and upselling
- Experience in negotiating renewals with carriers
- CAIB or other insurance related certifications are encouraged
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of business, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and insurers.
- Provide expert advice on insurance risks by identifying client exposures, assessing coverage needs, and developing tailored insurance solutions.
- Strategically manage policy renewals, including reviewing coverage, marketing accounts, negotiating with insurers, and optimizing terms and pricing.
- Prepare and monitor insurance submissions, proposals, and summaries of insurance, with support from Technical Assistants on binders, certificates, billing, and related documentation.
- Negotiate with insurers in partnership with Producers to secure appropriate coverage, competitive terms, and solutions aligned with client needs.
- Manage premium collection in accordance with company standards, policies, and established timelines.
- Drive portfolio growth by identifying and pursuing cross-selling, upselling, referral, and new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Partner with Producers to deliver integrated, client-focused insurance solutions and ensure effective account management.
- Mentor and develop Junior Account Managers and Technical Assistants by providing technical guidance, coaching, and best practices in client service and account
