Temporary Labourer (The Aud)

Overview

Premier recreation and entertainment facility in Southern Ontario are currently recruiting for a Temporary Full-Time Labourer.

These positions will assist in the day-to-day activities at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. We are looking for responsible individuals, with the ability to work a variety of shifts.

(Temporary Full Time for Approximately 10 Months)

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment - Ice making and maintenance - (e.g., ice resurfacer (e.g., Zamboni), edger, hand chopper) to maintain ice around boards. Building/equipment maintenance,
• Providing customer service to residents and visitors of the community arenas
• Facility maintenance includes cleaning common areas, washrooms and changing rooms janitorial duties including outside maintenance in various weather conditions including salting, grass cutting and snow shoveling.
• Readings and maintenance in the refrigeration plant as directed by the chief operator
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Valid MTO "G" class driver's license in good standing.
• Attend and successfully complete Emergency First-Aid training.
• Attend mandatory staff training sessions and successfully pass the course requirements.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, holidays, and overtime as required, including days, afternoons, weekends.
