Bow & Stern Brentwood is looking for a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Food Runner / Expo to join our front-of-house team.
As a Food Runner / Expo, you play an important role in keeping service running smoothly. You’ll work closely with the kitchen, servers, and managers to ensure every dish leaves the kitchen correctly, looks great, and reaches the guest promptly.
What You’ll Do
- Run food from the kitchen to tables quickly and accurately
- Assist with expo and coordinate food leaving the kitchen
- Check plates for presentation, accuracy, and proper garnishes before they leave the pass
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and managers throughout service
- Help maintain proper food pacing and timing
- Ensure guests receive the correct dishes and any required sauces or accompaniments
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables when needed
- Keep the expo area, kitchen, and service areas clean and organized
- Follow food safety and restaurant standards
- Support the entire team wherever needed during busy service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant experience
- Fast, organized, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to be on your feet for extended periods and carry multiple plates/trays safely
- Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
