Lead Compliance Specialist at Grande Prairie Police
Grande Prairie Police Service
Advance public safety with the Grande Prairie Police Service as a Policing Standards & Compliance Lead in a full-time, temporary role. Drive policy development and audit readiness while ensuring organizational alignment. This one-year term position reports to the Chief of Police and focuses on leading initiatives related to compliance, policy proofing, and strategic transition support. You will also coordinate audits, engage stakeholders, and research best practices to enhance policing standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project coordination for transition activities
- Develop and validate policies and standard operating guidelines
- Liaise with Alberta Policing Standards for audit coordination
- Identify risks impacting police of jurisdiction readiness
- Prepare documentation for senior leadership and audits
- Post-secondary education in relevant fields
- Minimum of 10 years in policing or regulatory environments
- Expertise in Alberta Police Act and Policing Standards
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Excellent written communication for policy drafting
