WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM  

Experience  

• A law degree.  

• Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 

• A minimum of five (5) years experience advising entrepreneurs and startups, preferably from private practice at a major Canadian law firm 

• The ability to give a clear, business-driven answer under time pressure and stand behind it.  

• Comfort operating with autonomy. Our lawyers are independent by design and run their own mandates. 

Specialized Expertise   

• Assist a variety of growth companies with corporate legal services including company formation, shareholders’ agreements, private placements, corporate transactions, stock option plans, license agreements, terms and conditions of use and employment matters. 

• Comfortable representing Caravel at various startup related conferences, networking events and organizations. 

Location  

• Toronto, Ontario. Remote elsewhere in Canada is also acceptable.
