Position: Patent/Compliance Law Attorney

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100–$150/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Author tasks and scenarios from real patent and compliance workflows such as patent drafting, prosecution, and regulatory filings.
• Review and grade AI responses for legal accuracy, sound reasoning, and adherence to professional standards.
• Produce model "golden answer" responses and detailed rationale to improve model training .
• Flag ambiguity, risk, and edge cases as a practicing attorney would.
• Work independently and asynchronously with flexible hours on a project basis.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years of professional experience in patent law and/or regulatory compliance.
• J.D. (or LL.B./LL.M. equivalent) from leading US/UK/Canada law schools.
• Active or inactive bar admission in a U.S., U.K., or Canadian jurisdiction and/or USPTO/CIPO/UKIPO registration.
• Excellent written communication and ability to articulate complex legal reasoning clearly.

Preferred

• Registered patent attorney/agent with a technical background in engineering, CS, life sciences, or chemistry.
• Hands-on experience with AML/BSA , OFAC , FCPA , HIPAA , FDA , GDPR/CCPA , or export control regimes.
• CIPP/CFE/CAMS certification is a plus.
