This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who thrive on intellectual depth and real-world impact. No prior AI industry experience required — your advanced domain expertise is exactly what we need.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and solve advanced, multi-disciplinary problems that challenge and sharpen AI reasoning capabilities
• Apply your research expertise to construct complex, rigorous problem statements with real-world relevance
• Review and evaluate AI-generated solutions for academic accuracy, depth, and logical soundness
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance
• Uphold the highest standards of academic rigor, clarity, and precision across all deliverables
• Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Holds a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a leading university
• Strong track record in research, publications, or complex technical project management
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with sharp analytical and critical thinking skills
• Clear, precise written communicator comfortable conveying complex ideas with clarity
• Self-directed and reliable when working independently in an asynchronous environment
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI evaluation systems
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
• Familiarity with AI model training, prompt engineering, or RLHF workflows
• Cross-disciplinary research experience spanning multiple STEM domains
