We are looking for a new receptionist to join our organization in our new office in Windsor's historic Walker Power Building. This is a role for a positive, outgoing, people person with superior customer service skills who puts our clients first . This role requires no previous insurance related experience - we will train you! If you have positive energy, an eagerness to learn and adapt well to change, this is the opportunity for you!
At Insurance Store, our receptionists play a vital role in welcoming and supporting our clients while also providing information to customers and internal team members as required. In this role, you'll provide front office and reception support to the public via phone, email and in-person interactions. This role is very important as it is typically the first point of contact in the organization for all clients and visitors. The role also includes receiving incoming calls for the organization and performing various administrative tasks, broker management system work and distributing mail.
What you'll do:
This is a busy, customer facing role which requires an eagerness to interact with our customers and make their experiences in our offices a positive one. The role also directs clients to appropriate staff members and provides ongoing support to all team members. The successful candidate will:
- Provide friendly, positive experiences for all clients via in-person, phone and email interactions.
- Answer, screen and forward incoming calls; respond to clients and direct to the appropriate party; provides basic and accurate information to clients and visitors in-person and via phone/email.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Prepare front desk with open door in morning.
- Provide first point of contact /customer service/support.
- Scan documents; receive, sort and prepare/distribute mail, courier packages and e-documents.
- Performs various basic, entry level duties in Broker Management System (BMS).
- Order supplies for the office as required.
- Process payments on portal/cash/credit card and electronic transfers; posts all payments daily.
- Provide scheduling support to upper management as required.

- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with willingness to learn
- Willingness to work in a fast pacedfast-paced environment and open to change
- Completion of high school, is required
- Computer Skills - MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook) an asset
- Organizing, planning and multi-tasking skills
