Sales Admin/Bookkeeper

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sales Admin/ Bookkeeper to join our team. The Sales Associate/Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting daily operations, assisting customers, and managing administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about flowers, customer service, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone, providing product recommendations and taking orders for floral arrangements and gifts.
• Process sales transactions using Quickbooks.
• Maintain and update customer records in our database.
• Answer customer inquiries about store products, services, and delivery options.
• Support inventory management, including restocking shelves and tracking supplies.
• Assist in creating floral arrangements for display and delivery, based on customer preferences.
• Handle administrative duties such as filing, organizing invoices, and maintaining office supplies.
• Coordinate deliveries and manage customer delivery requests.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring displays are attractive and well-maintained.
• Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to attract new customers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks or similar software.
• A passion for flowers, design, and customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Please note the location is Downtown Calgary; there is no parking available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
• QuickBooks Desktop: 1 year (preferred)
