The opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Finance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the financial records of a company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, computers printouts.
- Allocate and post financial transactions details to subsidiary books.
- Transfer data to general ledger and track accounts receivables with AR Collect.
- Process credit card deposits via Moneris and Process P&A orders with HubSpot and TeamSupport.
- Maintain internal control systems such as Coupa, Invoice Works & Taulia for customer invoice submissions.
- Prepare cheques for company utilities, orders, registrations, renewals etc, and make credit card payments through vendor portals.
- Process vendor bills, deposits, track rec, reconcile company credit card accounts, manage inventory, and process orders in QuickBooks.
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records and prepare accounts payable reports for management.
- Generating US/CAD POs and invoicing US/CAD customers.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and delegation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office & Teams and financial planning software and tools.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Poise and confidence when interacting with top management.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and approach, willingly accepts new challenges, and is flexible and accepting of change.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 years of progressive accounting, finance, or related experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience with QuickBooks and TeamSupport
- Experience in Slack, SharePoint, Coupa, Invoice Works, and Taulia is an asset.
