- No day is the same
- Will be standing the majority of the time and walking around the site.
- IMPORTANT: Please note this role is not working “in the film industry”. The purpose of the role is to serve as a representative of BC Housing who manages the site where film activity takes place and ensuring the integrity of the site is maintained.
- Previous film experience is not a preference
- Someone with or seeking a Monday—Friday/9:00–5:00 job would not be suitable.
- MUST HAVE a VEHICLE since transit is not accessible
- Mostly soft-skilled based and flexibility to shifts.
- There may be periods of time when no shifts are scheduled for weeks, and sometimes there can be an option to work full time (all candidates must be flexible with this and not rely on as main source of income).
- Hospitality and retail experience works too.
- Retired candidates are the best that want extra cash and an interesting line of work (many of the liaisons are law enforcement, firefighters, trades, teachers, bus drivers, maintenance techs, dental assistants, servers, business owners, etc). For someone looking for full-time hours, Monday-Friday are NOT suitable. Also, all training is morning shifts.
- Candidates are usually sourced via referral from other liaisons, Craigslist advert, or Indeed blast (key word: “retired”)
