Responsibilities:- Design and implement traffic control plans for various transportation projects- Conduct traffic impact studies and analyze data to determine optimal traffic flow- Develop and maintain traffic signal timing plans- General knowledge of relevant transportation planning and traffic engineering policies, practices, and design standards in British Columbia- Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and plans- Experience and relationships with British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) is strongly preferred, but not explicitly required.- Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and scheduling
Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field- Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic engineering or related field- Proficiency in designing traffic plans- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, standards, and practices- Experience with system design and analysis using tools such as ArcGIS- Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in EGBC. REQUIRED
Preferred Skills:- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and methodologies
