The Business Analyst works collaboratively with all cross‑functional teams at ASCO, including finance, project management, operations, and senior leadership and supports the organization’s financial, operational, and strategic objectives by providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and process optimization. This position plays a key advisory role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making and improving business performance across projects and operations.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Design and maintain financial and operational reporting tools.
- Access required financial and operational data to perform analyses.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to the senior leadership team to support decision‑making.
The preferred candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 7 years experience in accounting and/or finance preferably in a construction or project‑based environment.
- Hold university degree in accounting or finance and hold the CPA designation (or working towards obtaining CPA designation)
- Have excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). Bilingual (English/French) candidates are preferred.
- Have strong analytical thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to present data and concept to a Senior Management Team
- Have expert working knowledge of Excel and Powe BI, or equivale dashboard builder software
- Be eligible for security clearances and possess a valid driver’s license
