Application Security Developer - Calgary Hybrid

Join a financial services client in Calgary as an Application Security Developer. This hybrid role emphasizes secure application development and focuses on leveraging security automation and identity management. The Security Developer position is suited for candidates with extensive experience in application security within enterprise environments. You will design and build scalable security features, implement security automation practices, and enhance identity flows. The focus is on safeguarding digital assets while embedding Security-by-Design principles at every stage. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable security features and identity adapters
- Automate SAST/DAST/SCA within CI/CD pipelines
- Lead Security Architecture Reviews and provide guidance on OIDC
- Define and verify the security control library with automated testing
- Develop and deploy Automated Security Validation frameworks
- Minimum 5 years in application security and software development
- Expertise in OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and JWT protocols
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and SCA automation
- Relevant degree in computer science or cybersecurity
- Strong proficiency in Threat Modeling and Security-as-Code
