- Installer et entretenir du matériel téléphonique aériens ou souterrains
- Inspecter le matériel afin de déceler les défaillances
- Installer des systèmes, des circuits et de l'équipement de liaison
- Apprendre le métier aux apprentis
- Remplir des rapports d'essais et tenir à jour les dossiers d'essais et de service
- Établir la nature, la cause et l'endroit de la panne
- Monter sur des poteaux, des échelles ou d'autres installations de soutien pour travailler en hauteur
- Raccorder, débrancher et déplacer les prises
- Déterminer les travaux à effectuer
- Installer des modems câbles et des logiciels d'accès à Internet
- Entretenir et réparer des lignes aériennes et souterraines de câblodistribution
- Réparer ou remplacer des câbles, du matériel d'alimentation en énergie et des amplificateurs défectueux
- Épisser, joindre et raccorder les câbles
- Réparer ou remplacer l'équipement téléphonique défectueux
- 1 an à moins de 2 ans
