Lead Field Service Technician

Job Responsibility:
Improve business and family comfort, protection and productivity
Leads successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex HVAC / BMS controls equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives in the field relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Job location will be in Calgary, AB
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on the BMS/DDC system
- Perform Troubleshooting of the BMS/DDC systems, requires developing an understanding of the HVAC systems
- Replace, Repair or Upgrade of existing BMS systems. Including actuators, sensors, controllers, etc.
- Program and commission BMS control systems
- Work with Site Electrician and Facility Technicians on daily repairs and maintenance calls.
- Provide report of System Health and Lifecycle Management of BMS system to Facility Manager
- Overtime and Travel Opportunities maybe available from time to time
YOU MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING
- 3+ years of hands-on experience HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- 3+ years of experience in BMS/DDC system installation and service
- A technical diploma or degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation, automation or related field.

- A Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or A Journeyperson Instrumentation Certificate
- Experience in Building maintenance
- Computer and network configuration and management skills
- Previous industry experience
- Previous technical/installation experience
- Hands on experience with tools and electronics troubleshooting
- Ability to learn new skills
- Previous customer facing experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes.
