What you'll do
- Open and close the shop, including POS reconciliation and end-of-day procedures (we're a cashless business, all transactions are by card or tap)
- Run the retail floor day to day: greeting customers, talking through our chocolates, flavors, and gifting options, and making sure the space looks great
- Act as the go-to person on shift when ownership isn't on site
- Support smooth handoffs between retail and production, especially around restocking and order pickups
- Pitch in on light packaging support when needed, things like boxing up retail and gift orders during busy periods
- Help train and support other retail team members as needed
- Keep things running reliably during busy stretches, including our holiday season
What we're looking for
- Retail or hospitality experience, ideally with some keyholder or supervisory responsibility
- Comfortable with POS systems, opening/closing procedures, and being trusted with the keys
- Genuine interest in food and craft, you don't need a chocolate background but you should be excited to learn ours
- Strong communicator who's calm and clear with both customers and teammates
- Reliable and punctual. This is a role we need to be able to count on
Schedule and pay
- Full-time, 9:00am to 5:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday, through the end of October
- Starting in November, the shop moves to 7 days a week and shifts will be scheduled between 9:00am and 9:00pm
- Pay: $23/hour
