Job Responsibility:
Summary:
We are looking for a Social Media Intern to add to our growing marketing team! The Sport & Social Club operates in 8 cities nationwide that includes Ottawa, Gatineau, Kingston, Quinte, Halifax, St. John's, Moncton and Victoria. Every city has a Winter, Summer and Fall season that has a variety of recreational adult sport leagues.
The primary responsibilities of this 20-hour-per-week position include capturing the energy and excitement on the courts or fields, while also supporting the marketing team in planning and executing larger summer projects, including sponsorships, tournaments, and paid marketing campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capturing SSC Summer League content through a mobile device, camera or GO Pro (provided)
- Content creation which involved daily posts on social platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, story content while out in leagues
- Interviews with players pre- or post-game - mini microphones to be provided
- Facilitating a comfortable and confident environment for players in front of the camera, helping them feel at ease during recordings and interviews.
- In office planning with the marketing team, out in leagues during the evening once a week.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar program in progress or completed
- 1-2 years working in social media
- Familiar with social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter)
- Familiar with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, MailChimp and Google Analytics.
- Strong interest in sports and is passionate about leveraging digital platforms to engage with sports enthusiasts and create compelling content.
