Overview:

Our broad portfolio of technologies combines polymers, fibers, and resins to optimize the performance of our customers' products across multiple stages of the value chain. Mativ Renfrew, is currently seeking a Process Chemist.
The successful candidate will possess a Degree or an equivalent level of experience in Chemistry.
The Process Chemist will support a wide range of projects and challenging field applications. This individual is a key member of the Operations support team responsible for the overall operational effectiveness of the site.
General Responsibilities:
- Identify new materials, executing pilot plant and production trials.
- Develop new processes and participate in field evaluations of new products.
- Plan and conduct research which would have considerable influence on scientific knowledge or technology developments.
- Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed experimental approaches, techniques, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
- Works in cooperation with operations staff to optimizing, coating and converting operations for improved quality and reduced costs.
- Constantly seeks new technology and approaches to improve manufacturing processes.
- Assists with development and maintenance of process run sheets used by the manufacturing staff.
