Front End Developer / UI Developer (JavaScript)

Position Overview: VersaFile is seeking a skilled Frontend JavaScript Developer to join our Product Team. You will work closely with our cross-functional technology teams and play a key role in designing and implementing using interfaces for our enterprise grade software applications.

Location: This is a remote position, but we are only looking to hire someone who is already based in BC.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, and user-friendly web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Ability to quickly develop and deliver clean, fast and high-quality code and interfaces
• Implement designs and ensure a consistent and intuitive user interface.
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across various devices and browsers
• Identify, implement and manage code libraries that minimize repetitive code and improve application design
• Use code optimization techniques to improve performance of the software
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic
• Debug to identify and fix defects
• Participate in an agile work environment, participating in daily scrums, design discussions, code reviews and code analysis
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development.

Who You'll Be:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years in a Frontend Development JavaScript environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (Webpack, Babel)
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in an independent and collaborative work environment

Nice To Haves:

• Experience with backend technologies and languages (Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.)
