Senior Developer (Laravel/React)

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Senior Developer! This position is fully remote and open exclusively to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

We’re seeking a skilled and passionate developer to help build the next phase of our platform. Our application is built with Laravel 12 and React, so expertise in these frameworks will be a significant advantage.

We maintain our codebase on GitHub, and you’ll collaborate closely with the team through GitHub pull requests and code reviews to ensure the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to plan and define the scope of new features.
• Develop new features using modern Laravel 12, InertiaJS, and React.
• Identify and resolve bugs to improve application functionality.
• Write and maintain unit and acceptance tests.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in Canada.
• Expertise in PHP 8.4 and JavaScript development.
• Understanding of database principles.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Laravel.
• At least 3 years of experience developing with a reactive JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Svelte).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with HTML and CSS development.
• Proficiency in writing automated tests.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• A self-motivated attitude and the ability to excel in a remote work environment.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience building web applications with Laravel 12.
• Experience working with AWS (deployment, infrastructure, or services).
• Familiarity with developing REST APIs.
• UX and design skills to contribute to intuitive and engaging user interfaces.

The Offer

• Competitive Salary. This role offers a salary in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 CAD, depending on your skills and experience.
• Performance-based bonus. Calculated on an annual basis, eligible after your first full year of employment.
• Remote First. We are a fully remote company. We have an all-hands company meet-up a few times a year. 
• Location Independent. Work from wherever you feel most productive and happy. Our team members are spread across Canada in cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.
