About Our Client
Our client is sourcing a Financial Analyst for a 8-month contract.

About the Opportunity

• Process incoming broker payments (cheques and electronic transfers), ensuring accurate matching and recording in accounting systems
• Reconcile broker accounts regularly and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit broker refunds as required
• Monitor aging reports, identify overdue accounts, and follow up to collect outstanding balances
• Implement collection strategies and coordinate with brokers and internal teams to resolve payment issues
• Assess outstanding accounts and flag potential bad debts in line with internal procedures
• Communicate with brokers to respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, and maintain strong working relationships
• Prepare and present accounts receivable (AR) reports and metrics to management on a bi-monthly basis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy

About You

• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or similar accounts receivable role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to manage large volumes of data and maintain high accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and transactions
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-focused approach
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain relationships across different levels of an organization
• Strong planning, coordination, and task follow-through skills
