Jacobs is seeking an experienced Power System Controls Engineer skilled in conceptual planning and integration of energy systems for advanced data centers. With at least five years in power systems engineering, you'll focus on battery energy storage systems, UPS specifications, and technical compliance with large load interconnections. This role drives reliability and resilience in mission-critical infrastructure while working with a global team.
Key Responsibilities: - Define the AI data center control hierarchy and specifications - Develop integrated power system models using RMS and EMT tools - Collaborate with controls and inverter manufacturers on new technologies - Conduct power system studies for BESS optimization and tests - Deliver reports and presentations while managing project scope and risks
Requirements: - Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline - Minimum five years in power systems and BESS projects - Hands-on experience with modeling tools like PSCAD and ETAP - Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and UL standards - Strong analytical and communication skills
