Our client, a well-respected solutions company based in Ottawa, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales and Financial Data Analyst to join their expanding team. This proprietary position focuses on sales statistics and finance, requiring a keen analytical mind, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Power BI for comprehensive data analysis, number crunching, and generating insightful reports to support business decisions
- Engage in licensing discussions with customers, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored solutions that align with company offerings
- Analyze sales data and financial statistics to identify trends, forecast future performance, and provide actionable insights to the management team
- Work closely with the sales team to understand project requirements, product offerings, and licensing needs to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal service delivery
- Ask probing questions to gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and project details, ensuring all aspects are addressed accurately
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, quickly adapting to changes and learning new concepts to stay ahead in the industry
- Maintain high standards of accuracy in all tasks, ensuring data integrity and reliable reporting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in using Power BI for data analysis and reporting, with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to crunch numbers, identify patterns, and provide meaningful insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and internal teams, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating inquisitiveness, quick learning, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of work
- Experience with AutoTask and Datto is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with industry-standard tools and software
