Tax Dispute Lawyer at BDO Law LLP

BDO Law LLP is seeking a dedicated Tax Dispute Lawyer to lead client interactions and strategies in the Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution team. This role focuses on enhancing client relationships while providing high-quality legal representation. In this newly created position, the successful candidate will communicate with clients and Tax authorities on ongoing disputes. They will draft legal documents, evaluate assignments for fee estimates, and manage cases from start to finish. The role requires a proactive approach to cross-practice collaboration and supporting junior team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate directly with clients and Tax authorities
- Draft legal strategies and representations for disputes
- Conduct legal research on Tax matters
- Evaluate fee estimates and manage cases to completion
- Support the team's growth through coaching and knowledge sharing
- Law Society membership in good standing
- At least 3 years of Tax experience at a law or accounting firm
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in English and French is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative nature
