Assistant Manager FATCA CRS Compliance

FATCA, CRS, and QI compliance define this Assistant Manager opportunity at Scotiabank in Toronto, supporting Global Banking & Markets clients globally.
As Assistant Manager, you will manage client tax requirements and support regulatory compliance across GBM jurisdictions. The work includes documentation review, tax reporting, operational monitoring, and governance. You will also explain tax rules and processes to onboarding operations and business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day tax interactions with onboarding and refresh specialists
- Review documentation, reportable accounts, and information return accuracy
- Produce FATCA, CRS, and QI regulatory reports
- Maintain KPI data for annual GBM reporting
- Monitor daily and monthly compliance updates
Requirements:
- Knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and related tax regulations
- Familiarity with W-9, W-8, 1099, and 1042S forms
- Experience with regulatory audits and reporting
- Ability to interpret IRS Code, regulations, and instructions
- Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and project management skills
