Scientist I - Analytical Operations
Thermo Fisher Scientific
Entry-level analytical scientist supporting laboratory operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Performs analytical testing on prototype, clinical trial, and commercial batches using standard chromatography and physical analysis methods while maintaining GMP compliance and detailed documentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing analyses following established procedures and SOPs
- Document experimental data according to ALCOA principles with accuracy and legibility
- Identify and immediately report out-of-specification results; conduct investigations under supervision
- Perform basic system troubleshooting and resolve suitability failures independently
- Maintain safe working environment, report hazards, and comply with GMP standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
- Experience with laboratory equipment and standard operations
- Understanding of chromatographic separations and chemical analysis
- Proficiency with Empower, NuGenesis, MS Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Fluent English language proficiency
