Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Host/Hostess to join our team at The Liberty Grand . This role involves welcoming and assisting guests during events, coordinating guest flow, and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication and organizational skills, and previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet, or customer service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner throughout events
- Managing guest arrivals, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
- Escorting guests to tables and providing event information as needed
- Coordinating with servers, kitchen, bar, and banquet team to ensure smooth event operations
- Assisting with guest inquiries and addressing concerns professionally
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable entrance and host area
- Supporting event setup and breakdown as required
- Following all health, safety, and service standards
- Performing other duties as assigned by management to support event operations and team success
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, hosting, or high-volume hospitality experience is an asset
- Smart Serve certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Flexible availability based on business needs
- Strong commitment to exceptional guest service
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
