Building Electrical Engineer (Montreal)

Intermediate Building Electrical Engineer

Reporting to the team leader, you will join Stantec at one of our offices in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, or Quebec City to complete the design and implementation of electrical projects in buildings, within established budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for institutional (schools, hospitals, CIUSUs), commercial (office towers) and industrial buildings across Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet client and company standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions and compliance with local regulations and industry codes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of experience designing and implementing building electrical projects.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• ASP construction card.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, teamwork‑oriented mindset.
• English language proficiency is an asset for collaboration with teams outside Quebec.
