Facilities Manager (YPQ)

Job Responsibility:

The Facility Manager has overall responsibility for the maintenance, repair and coordination of all facility services, process equipment, systems, and industrial machinery. Please note, for this position you must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required

Responsibilities:

• Own a preventative maintenance program inclusive of building systems, equipment and grounds.
• Leads & supervises the facilities staff and vendor base.
• Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities and department employees. Keep track of daily schedule and delegate work orders.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and determine a clear path forward.
• Work cross functionally with all levels of staff and vendors on path to solutions.
• Oversees and engages in repairs to vehicles, manlifts and aircraft ground support equipment.
• Support team in performance of carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ensures vendors are compliant with Company needs and requests.
• Oversee performance of outsourced landscaping & in-house janitorial programs.
• Performs complex maintenance duties as necessary.
• Respond to emergency facility requests.
• Assist in soliciting costs for capital budgets.
• Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions.
• Participates in workplace health, safety and Hazmat programs.
• Exercises internal and external customer service.

Qualifications:

• Aviation facilities experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical (HVAC) acumen, certified in HVAC desired.
• Automotive, aircraft ground support equipment, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with work order systems.
• CCOHS training a plus.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Furnish hand and power tools to fulfill small maintenance projects.
• Strong attention to detail and professional appearance.
• Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, noise, and materials which cause periods of discomfort.
• Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
