Personal Support Worker

Personal Support Worker - Burlington, ON - CAD$1,848.00/week
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced overnight caregiver to support a mother-in-law, with plans to extend care to her father-in-law in the near future. The family is comparing agencies and looking for the right fit to provide consistent, reliable overnight and live-in support. They have received care before and understand the importance of finding a caregiver who can meet their evolving needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance throughout the day and night
- Support with personal care including bathing and dressing
- Prepare full meals and provide feeding support as needed
- Manage medication reminders and assist with medication administration
- Handle cleaning and laundry to maintain a comfortable home environment
- Monitor safety and well-being during overnight hours
- Communicate clearly with family members about care updates and any changes in condition
What We're Looking For:
- Experience providing live-in care and managing multiple care recipients
- Strong skills in mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Competence in personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
- Reliable and consistent presence with excellent attendance
- Proactive approach who takes initiative when needs arise
- Clear communicator who keeps family informed
- English speaking
- Patient, calm demeanor with positive energy
- Respect for client independence while providing necessary support
This is a position requiring overnight care. The family is looking for someone who can commit to a consistent schedule and be a stable presence in their loved one's life.
