Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer – Front End to design, develop, implement, and support modern, responsive web applications in a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

This role requires strong expertise in Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Framework, Oracle Database, WebSphere , and modern front-end technologies, along with hands-on experience developing accessible applications compliant with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular technologies.
  
• Translate technical specifications and business requirements into fully functional, tested applications.
  
• Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces.
  
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
  
• Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, RxJS, Bootstrap, and related technologies.
  
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs with front-end applications.
  
• Develop backend services using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, and Oracle Database.
  
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
  
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and other developers throughout the SDLC.
  
• Participate in code reviews, design walkthroughs, and Agile ceremonies.
  
• Support application deployments using Azure DevOps and Bitbucket.
  
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and database objects in Oracle 12c or higher.
  
• Ensure applications comply with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
  
• Provide technical documentation, implementation support, and post-production issue resolution.
  

Required & Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Java application development.
  
• 10+ years of Oracle Database (12c or higher) experience.
  
• 10+ years of JavaScript development.
  
• 5+ years of Angular (v2+) development.
  
• 5+ years of TypeScript.
  
• 5+ years of HTML5 and CSS3.
  
• 5+ years of RxJS and NPM.
  
• 5+ years of WebSphere Application Server (v8.5 or higher).
  
• 5+ years using Eclipse, IBM RAD, or IBM RSA.
  
• Strong experience with Spring Framework (MVC, Boot, Security, JPA).
  
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and Maven.
  
• 5+ years experience of Strong SQL development skills including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and sequences.
  
• 3+ years of Experience with Bitbucket and Azure DevOps.
  
• Experience developing responsive web applications.
  
• Demonstrated experience implementing AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
  
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL Certificates, and application security.
  
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and refactoring.
  
• Experience with event-driven, reactive, and message-oriented architectures.
  
• Experience with REST API resiliency, service discovery, and load balancing.
  
• Knowledge of middleware, gateways, and enterprise integration.
  
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise web applications.
