Key responsibilities:
Vehicle Cleaning & Final Prep
•Remove all shop tools, fasteners, packaging, and installation debris from vehicle interiors, cargo areas, and exterior/undercarriage areas once production is complete.
•Inspect for and remove metal shavings and other foreign object debris (FOD) to prevent safety hazards or equipment damage.
•Vacuum, wipe down, and clean interior surfaces, cargo areas, and cabs; clean exterior surfaces as needed to remove dust, fingerprints, or adhesive residue.
•Perform basic visual checks of installed equipment (shelving, partitions, ladder racks, flooring, lighting, etc.) for cleanliness and obvious issues.
•Report any concerns (sharp edges, damage, missing components, cleanliness issues) to the Supervisor — document and escalate rather than clearing the vehicle for release.

Shop & Facility Cleaning
•Sweep, mop, and maintain shop floors to remove dust, debris, and metal shavings.
•Empty garbage and recycling bins throughout the shop.
•Clean and sanitize work areas, and break areas; restock supplies as needed.

•Dust and wipe down work surfaces, racking, benches, and common touchpoints (doorknobs, handrails).
•Respond promptly to spills or hazardous conditions using proper cleaning methods and safety signage.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper handling and disposal of shop waste.
•Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is required.

Safety & Compliance
•Follow all Woodfield health and safety procedures at all times.
•Properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
•Wear required PPE and maintain awareness of shop hazards (metal edges, moving vehicles, tools, etc.).
•Support a safe and organized shop environment for all team members.

Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Prior experience in an automotive, manufacturing, or shop environment is an asset; will train the right candidate.
•Valid driver's licence required to move and park vehicles on-site.Physical Requirements & Work Environment
•Shop floor environment; regular exposure to metal shavings, dust, and shop debris.
•Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching into vehicle cargo areas and under seats/flooring.
•Ability to lift up to 25 kg (e.g., shop equipment, cleaning supplies, debris bins).
•Ability to enter, exit, and move within various van and vehicle body styles.
•Standing and walking for extended periods.
