We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer - Full Stack to lead the technical design, application engineering, cloud containerization, and backend integration of multi-tier enterprise web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex technical systems specifications into secure, scalable, and fully tested digital solutions. Leveraging deep full-stack expertise in Java EE, Spring, React, modern web UI frameworks, RESTful APIs, and Azure cloud infrastructure, you will develop end-to-end applications, construct automated data pipelines, manage cloud deployments, and optimize relational database interactions.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)

Duration: 5-month contract.

Responsibilities
Full-Stack Application Development: Design, code, test, debug, and maintain secure, scalable n-tier web applications using Java EE, Core Java, Servlets, JSF, Spring, MyBatis, and React.

Front-End & UI Engineering: Build responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Apache MyFaces to deliver seamless client-side interactions.

Cloud & Containerization Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-native microservices and containerized application environments utilizing Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), WebSphere Liberty, or Open Liberty.

API & Data Pipeline Integration: Architect, develop, and integrate RESTful API services, middleware components, and data ETL pipelines to enable seamless data extraction, transformation, and ingestion.

Database & ORM Management: Model relational database schemas, construct complex SQL queries, and perform database tuning on Oracle 19c+ environments using MyBatis ORM frameworks.

DevOps & CI/CD Tooling: Manage automated build, testing, and deployment workflows using Maven, JUnit, ANT, Azure DevOps, and Git repositories across Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms.

Technical Troubleshooting & Documentation: Resolve complex application defects, perform root-cause analysis during system conversions or migrations, author technical design specifications, and provide peer mentorship to development team members.

Qualifications
Full-Stack & Java EE Seniority: Proven experience developing n-tier web applications, database technologies, Java EE (J2EE), and cloud-native architectures (Strictly Required).

Languages & Frameworks: Hands-on expertise with Java (Core Java, Servlets, JSF, Spring, MyBatis), React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and RESTful web services (Strictly Required).

Cloud & Kubernetes Engineering: Direct hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and WebSphere Liberty / Open Liberty (Strictly Required).

Database & Build Tools: Strong experience with Oracle 19c+ databases, SQL, and build/test tools including Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, and ANT (Strictly Required).

DevOps & Multi-Platform Environments: Experience managing CI/CD toolchains and system testing across multiple operating platforms (Linux, Windows, Solaris) (Strictly Required).

Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior software development experience within a public sector or enterprise environment.

Experience with web accessibility standards (AODA / WCAG compliance).

Familiarity with PDF generation libraries (iText), Angular, or enterprise rule engines.
