Full Stack Python Developer

️Are you a full stack developer who wants to build reliable, production-grade features on complex financial data, from backend services to client reporting? 

We’re hiring an Intermediate Full Stack Python Developer to join an established financial software company building portfolio management software for banks and institutional clients. The role owns each feature from start to finish: understanding the business need, planning how it fits across the front end, backend, and data layer, and seeing it through testing and release.

• A developer who takes full ownership of the features they deliver and remains the point of reference for them long after release 
• Comfortable working in unfamiliar areas of the system, approaching new domains, layers and tools with curiosity rather than hesitation 
• Attentive to how software behaves once it is live, writing code that is maintainable, observable and straightforward to troubleshoot under production conditions 
• Someone who uses AI coding tools with discipline, treating agents as assistants to be directed and verified, with clear limits on what they can access 
• Receptive to feedback and generous with knowledge, contributing to a team where everyone supports one another across the stack 
• Inclined to understand the business problem first, asking the questions needed to clarify a requirement before deciding how to build it

Requirements

What You’ll Do 

• Own product features end-to-end, analyzing requirements with stakeholders, designing the approach across the front end, backend, and data layer, and carrying the work through testing and release 
• Divide your time across the full stack, with the greater share on backend services and significant, ongoing involvement in front-end development 
• Design, build, and maintain Python services and APIs using FastAPI within a microservices architecture hosted on Azure 
• Develop maintainable user interfaces in React and TypeScript that present financial data and reporting to end users 
• Work within complex PostgreSQL data schemas, applying sound practices for data integrity and the protection of personally identifiable information 
• Build and maintain features that aggregate data from overnight and real-time feeds across multiple financial systems into end-user reporting 
• Investigate and resolve data issues in production, including identifying and optimizing slow-running queries 
• Build logging and maintainability into your applications so that critical production systems can be monitored and troubleshot effectively 
• Direct AI coding agents such as Claude through implementation, use GitHub Copilot within code review, and configure your own agent tooling within the established architecture 

⭐ What We’re Looking For 

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering production features 
• Solid Python backend experience with FastAPI or a comparable web framework, including RESTful API design, or strong backend experience in C#/.NET and readiness to work in Python 
• Hands-on experience building production interfaces with React and TypeScript 
• Strong SQL skills and relational database experience, ideally with PostgreSQL, including data modeling, query analysis, and performance tuning 
• A sound understanding of microservices architecture and of how services, data feeds and integrations interact in a production system 
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants or agents such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Cursor, including providing context, reviewing generated code and verifying results, or clear readiness to adopt them quickly 
• Proficiency with Git and modern delivery practices, including code review and automated testing 
• The ability to translate business requirements into a clear implementation plan and to explain reasoning and trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues 

Nice to have: 

• Experience in FinTech, wealth management or portfolio management software 
• Experience with Azure services and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps 
• Experience with production monitoring, log analytics, or support of business-critical systems
