Part Time to Full Time Prep Chef

Job Responsibility:

POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a skilled Prep Chef to join our team on a part time permanent basis at our Modern Mexican concept Chilango on Bernard. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Great with a knife; quick on your feet; skilled at all prep functions in the kitchen with a desire to push to complete your prep list according to standards and timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, including sauces, proteins and vegetables.

- Work with the team to ensure quality standards are met and food waste is kept at a minimum.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed- Collaborate with management to develop menu offerings

## Qualifications - Proven experience in a culinary role, with a focus on hospitality and restaurant management- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations- Excellent leadership and team management skills- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations- Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus
