Join Our Team as a Housekeeper at Northwood Retirement Resort!

Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 8 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna. This position is on site within Kelowna.

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be performing housekeeping and cleaning activities in all areas of the Resort within established guidelines and procedures as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional conduct, grooming, and appearance in line with resort standards.
• Clean and disinfect Resident suites, public areas, offices, washrooms, and common areas.
• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry.
• Restock housekeeping supplies and report damaged or inoperable equipment.
• Respond to unscheduled cleaning needs due to the Resident population.
• Foster a team environment through positive interactions with staff and departments.
• Ensure confidentiality of Resident and organizational information, promoting their health, safety, and happiness.
• Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Related housekeeping experience an asset.
• WHMIS

Skills for Success:

• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds

Salary and Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position (30 hrs per week) Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday requiring flexibility to include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate resident needs and special events.
• The hourly wage for this position is $19.21 .
