We're a laid-back family looking for someone who wants to grow with us—not just babysit, but become part of our village. Our family includes our happy, curious 15-month-old daughter, a 5-year-old pug/Chihuahua mix, and a 5-month-old Persian Ragdoll kitten. Our daughter is active, playful, and loves exploring the world around her. Our parenting style is rooted in connection, curiosity, and respect. We value a gentle, holistic approach to raising children—encouraging imaginative play, time outdoors, creativity, communication, and following our daughter's lead as she learns about the world. We'd love to find someone whose caregiving style aligns with those values and who enjoys being truly present and engaged. Our dog is a COVID puppy who has experienced a lot of change over the past few years. She can be a little anxious when meeting someone new, but if you're a dog lover, you'll quickly earn a loyal shadow and best friend. She's well trained and rings a bell when she'd like to go outside into the backyard for bathroom breaks. Our Persian Ragdoll kitten is affectionate, playful, and gets along wonderfully with both our daughter and our dog—they're a pretty adorable little crew together! We're hoping to find someone who can become a familiar face in our daughter's life as we gently prepare for her daycare transition this fall. We'd love to start with occasional babysitting so she has the chance to build a trusting relationship before that big change, with the hope of continuing that relationship as our family grows. We're looking for someone with experience caring for toddlers who is comfortable with diaper changes, preparing simple meals and snacks, following nap and bedtime routines, and engaging in age-appropriate activities. Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain it) would be a huge asset. We're also looking for someone who is comfortable communicating confidently in English with both us and our daughter. Most visits will simply involve spending quality time with our daughter, preparing or serving simple meals or snacks when needed, and tidying up after yourselves and her. We don't expect additional household chores. From time to time, we may also ask if you'd be comfortable feeding our pets while we're out, and there may occasionally be opportunities for weekend house sitting so everyone can stay comfortable in their own home. We're both in the tech industry and love music, creativity, adventures, and embracing life's fun little weird moments. We value kindness, inclusivity, curiosity, and treating people with respect.
