Mobile Flutter Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and enhance our core Flutter application with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and seamless user experiences.

• Work with platform-specific APIs (Android/Java/Kotlin and iOS/Swift) to implement features that take full advantage of each OS.

• Implement and maintain robust USBC communication protocols to ensure flawless interaction between the mobile app and our gaming hardware.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve integration issues, collaborating closely with hardware engineers to optimize data flow and input latency.

• Write well-structured, testable code and apply TDD methodologies to maintain high-quality, reliable software.

• Continuously improve app efficiency and responsiveness, focusing on a smooth gaming experience, quick navigation, and optimal resource usage.

• Translate design concepts into intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive interfaces that delight users.

• Work closely with hardware engineers to refine integration points and troubleshoot hardware communication issues.

• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for your code and for hardware communication protocols, ensuring clarity and ease of knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• Must be located in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)

• Demonstrated track record in Flutter mobile app development and familiarity with Dart.

• Strong understanding of mobile development principles, performance optimization, and UI/UX fundamentals.

• Experience with Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) development for deeper integration and platform-specific features.

• Ability to quickly identify, isolate, and fix issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Organized, able to handle multiple tasks, and capable of working effectively under minimal supervision.

• Keen eye for design details and willingness to iterate for optimal user engagement.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience building out back-end services or web applications (e.g., React).

• Familiarity with embedded systems, custom protocols, and real-time data processing.

• Insight into firmware processes, hardware debugging tools, and HID standards.

• Experience measuring and reducing input lag for improved gaming response times.

• Able to cooperate effectively within a distributed team environment.
