Crew Leader

Job Responsibility:

Canadian Grounds is looking for a crew leader with experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance. This person will perform work to assist in maintaining the landscape of our commercial properties for summer and winter.

Work Location:

• Checkpoint - 69 Advance Road, Etobicoke

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of a single crew (typically 3 people)
• Cut grass, rake, aerate, dethatch, fertilize and water lawns, weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees and perform other maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction and maintenance of sites.
• Operate and maintain power mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, snowblowers and other landscape maintenance equipment
• Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, such as litter pick up and shovelling snow and salting walkways in the winter.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in snow removal, landscaping and groundskeeping management
• Minimum 2 years experience with supervising crews
• Must have experience with zero turn lawn mower
• Must have a G drivers license with clean drivers license abstract
• Able to work under adverse weather conditions
• Able to work flexible hours during winter

Wages and Benefits:

Salary: $23 and up depending on experience

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
